Apart from computer-supported data management, the most important source of knowledge transfer is personal dialogue. Cross-divisional core technology teams extend the know-how in the key technologies that are most important to Clariant and ensure that it is used throughout the company. One example is the Process Development Network, a cross-divisional team of process engineering experts who critically assess new development projects and larger investment projects. The more intense exchange of know-how associated with this helps to constantly improve the investment process.

Cross-divisional teams in Asia, the US and Europe generate new ideas for the innovation pipeline from regional and country-specific trends in markets and technologies. They are therefore an important part of a global ideas network that aims to provide a systematic innovation process.
