| The R&D Center Surfactants and Alkoxylates applies all chemistry-related aspects of surface-active agents for a wide variety of applications. The portfolio comprises non-ionic, cationic, anionic and amphoteric surfactants with a special focus on alkoxylation chemistry. Our expertise includes polymeric surfactants and polyglycol based alkoxylates which are extremely versatile groups of surfactants. Of particular interest are surfactants based on renewable raw materials. |

| The R&D Center Specialty Polymers designs and synthesises polymeric systems. Our know-how in structure-property relationship is the key to develop functional macromolecules for various applications, e.g. resins for innovative surface coatings or rheology modifiers for consumer and personal care applications. |
| R&D Center Effect Chemicals and Intermediates |
| The R&D Center Effect Chemicals and Intermediates is responsible for certain effect materials such as UV stabilizers or flame retardants for polymers as well as optical brigtheners e.g. for paper applications. In addition, we focus on intermediates, e.g. for agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals, based on our technology platforms and expertise in organic and organometallic chemistry. |

For the manufacturing process of our customers we provide innovative product formulations combining high performance, easy handling, and efficient application. We are specialized in dispersing agents, particle and emulsion stabilization as well as formulation of solid materials. |
