In close cooperation with academic institutions, Clariant has developed a process to manufacture high-quality nano-zeolites in technical quantities.
Our new range of nanoscale alumosilicates, Lucidot®, open up an entirely new vista of application engineering opportunities in biochemical processes, including molecular sieves, ion exchangers, selective adsorbents and catalysis. They can be also used as carrier materials. When used in combination with fluorescent dyes, for instance, they can serve to develop more powerful thin film solar panels and fluorescence concentrators, energetically optimized light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and even novel laser systems.
