Für intensive Farbeffekte müssen die Pigmente fein und gleichmässig dispergiert werden. Bei der herkömmlichen Farbherstellung ist das Dispergieren von Pigmenten einer der wichtigsten Schritte. Clariant hat mit »Easily Dispersible Waterborne« (EDW) eine neue Produktreihe organischer Pigmente entwickelt, die dieses Verfahren erheblich erleichtert. Mit den EDW-Pigmenten stellt Clariant eine Lösung bereit, die den Einsatz von Kugelmühlen überflüssig macht. Damit kann die Herstellung von Pigmentpräparationen in einem einzigen Verfahrensschritt erfolgen.

Die Herausforderung

PIGMENTAGGLOMERATION ERFORDERT EIN ZEITAUFWENDIGES UND TEURES DISPERGIERUNGSVERFAHREN

Eine der grössten Herausforderungen bei herkömmlichen Verfahren besteht darin, dass die mikroskopisch kleinen Pigmentpartikel wie kleine Magneten aneinander haften. Um sie gleichmässig in der Farbe zu verteilen, müssen verschiedene Schritte (z. B. Zerkleinerung) durchgeführt werden. Dies ist zeit-, kosten- und energieintensiv und erfordert eine teure technische Ausstattung.

Die Lösung

NEUE PRODUKTREIHE ORGANISCHER PIGMENTE FÜR WASSERBASIERTE PIGMENTDISPERGIERUNG: EDW-PIGMENTE

EDW-Pigmente besitzen eine modifizierte Oberfläche, die mit speziellen Additiven zur Vermeidung des Zusammenklumpens behandelt wird. Sie können auf einfache Weise mit einem Scheibenrührer dispergiert werden, ohne dass eine Zerkleinerung erforderlich ist. Dies spart Zeit und verbessert die Umweltbilanz bei der Farbherstellung. Die verkürzte Fertigungszeit ermöglicht eine höhere Produktionskapazität und erlaubt gleichzeitig Einsparungen beim Stromverbrauch und der Erzeugung von Abwasser.
