Group Process Technology ensures systematic and sustainable process-innovation and -optimization for all Business Units and is responsible for the Technology Platform Process Technology.  By pooling Clariant's capabilities in chemical technology, Group Process Technology guarantees best practices in the development of state-of-the-art processes which are crucial for competitive production of high-quality products. It covers a wide range of chemical engineering expertise while focusing on clearly defined competencies.

The toolbox is based on Chemical Reaction Engineering, High Pressure Reactions and Catalysis, Thermal Separation Technologies, Solids Generation and Handling as well as scale-up in Multi Purpose Pilot Plants. Global orientation is ensured via PD-Net, our company-wide network for process technology. The working approach relies on interdisciplinary views of specialists by asking the right questions, identifying best leverage, using target oriented workflows, and performing sophisticated data analysis. The competence based exploration of solutions leads to process design packages which include the right set of data for operating a chemical plant under optimum technical and best economic conditions. Finally, the developed process ensures technological, operational, economical, and ecological benefits for our Business Units.
