Clariants New Melio Wax W01 Designed for Vintage Fashion Demand

Muttenz, March 5, 2013 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has specially formulated its Melio® Wax W-01 to help tanners achieve the current leather fashion demand for vintage effects in footwear and handbags.

Melio Wax W-01 is a special wax in aqueous dispersion. It imparts the classic “White Wax” effect evenly, combined with an elegant touch, to the leather. Melio Wax W-01 is designed to create this “White Wax” effect on full grain crust, buffed leathers as well as on finished leathers.

The product can also be used as a top effect such as a brush-off, alone or in combination withpigment or aniline dyestuff.

When used in base coats Melio Wax W-01 improves filling and plate release.
