Hostavin 3050 is a low molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) that provides efficient light stability in thick and thin plastic sections. It is characterized by its excellent solubility, broad compatibility, extremely low volatility and migration stability.

Application Coatings
Hostavin 3050 can be used in solventless and solventborne paints. Depending on the requested stabilization, the addition rate should be in the range of 1.0 to 3.0 %. All concentrations relate to active UV stabilizer on solid resin. As a non-substituted HALS, Hostavin 3050 is slightly basic and can have an influence on the crosslinking of binders. In such a case, the alternative use of Hostavin 3058 is recommended.
Application Plastics
Hostavin 3050 is recommended for the stabilization of PMMA, PUR, polyolefins and styrenics. In styrenics it is preferably used combined with UV absorbers.
