Additive solutions for automotive interior parts


Car interior is part of the motion experience. All the surfaces have to look and feel good, to keep their initial beauty and remain a healthy and enjoyable environment. Under even more scrutiny than its outside, car cockpit requirements are getting more and more stringent everyday. Light and heat are among the main factors of plastic parts degradation therefore a long term heat resistance and UV protection are essential. Bleached and brittle plastic car parts are not only aesthetically unattractive, but could even become unhealthy for the car users. Low VOC (volatile organic compounds) emission is one of the most important trends of the plastic car industry.

  • AddWorks® ATR 146

    AddWorks ATR 146 is Clariant’s new low dosage, sulfur-free stabilizer solution for filled TPO compounds used in automotive interior. It offers outstanding light protection, exceptional heat stability, reduced VOC/odor emissions. AddWorks ATR 146 is used for typical TPO-based car interior parts such as dashboards, instrument panels and door panels. The solution fulfils current OEM requirements and sets the benchmark for the next generation of automotive interiors.

  • AddWorks® ATR 945 B

    AddWorks ATR 945 B is a low molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizer particularly designed for light stabilization of non-polar polymers (e.g. polyolefins). This specific solution offers an optimal stabilization to PP compounds.

  • AddWorks® LXR™ 568 MP

    AddWorks LXR 568 MP is a highly efficient phosphorous based processing stabilizer solution, which reduces the thermo-oxidative degradation of polymers and the development of undesired color (yellowing). AddWorks LXR 568 MP shows enhanced hydrolytic stability, a high thermal stability and high solubility in polymeric materials. It has a broad compatibility in coating polymers.

  • Hostavin® N 30 pills

    Hostavin N 30 pills is an oligomeric hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS), designed for light stabilization of plastic materials. This HALS is characterized by its broad compatibility and excellent resistance to migration.

  • Hostavin® PR-31 P

    Hostavin PR-31 is a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) with a UV absorber functionality. This HALS is characterized by its excellent efficiency and its ability to be fixed into the binder or the polymer matrix during UV exposure.
