  • Clariant offers a wide range of polymers and montan based waxes for water and solvent borne coatings. Further application fields are powder coatings and UV reactive systems.

    Ceridust® Micronized waxes are micronized products that can be directly dispersed into various coating systems

    Licowax® and Licocene® non micronized waxes are supplied in granules or flakes and have to be predispersed or emulsified before added into the coating.

    The solvent system is the most important criteria when choosing suitable additives. Polar waxes are easier to disperse in polar systems and vice versa. In powder coatings, polar and non polar waxes can be used.

      Micronized high density polyethylene wax recommended for solvent and water based coatings and inks and as excellent fine particle e.g. pigment dispersing agent.Ceridust 3610 is a finely micronized additive made from metallocene based high density polyethylene wax. It generates excellent rub resistance in various kinds of printing inks and lower the coefficient of friction for high slip effect.With a D50 of 5 µm, the very fine particles keep a high gloss level and good clarify of the printed sheet and prevent pilling on rubber blankets.Used in coatings, like e.g. for packaging applications, Ceridust 3610 creates excellent scratch resistance, slip effect and protection of the finished good.     • Ceridust® 3620

      Micronized polyethylene wax which is recommended for solvent based coatings and inks as well as for powder coating application. Ceridust 3620 is also a fine particle dispersing agent recommended for polyolefin, like LLDPE, LDPE, MDPE, HDPE.Ceridust 3620 is an excellent rub and scratch resistance additive for all kind of printing inks. It can be used as an additive for powder coatings to increase the output during extrusion process, to improve the flowability of the powder, and to enhance slip properties and scratch resistance.       Micronized metallocene based polypropylene wax for powder & wood coatings.Used in powder coatings, Ceridust 6050 M offers interesting properties, including the combination of excellent degassing with a strong matting effect while keeping very good adhesion performance. It also increases the coefficient of friction (anti slip) and enhances scratch resistance. In contrast to amide wax based degassing aids, Ceridust 6050 M improves adhesion properties of the surface e.g. for sealants.Ceridust 6050 M is furthermore a highly effective additive for various liquid lacquers including wood coatings.
