    Emulsogen LCN 118 is used as a nonionic emulsifier for emulsion polymerization improving the shear, temperature and electrolyte stability of polymer dispersions. The recommended usage is 2% active based on monomers.In waterborne and solvent-borne lacquers (low PVC), Emulsogen LCN 118 can be used as a compatibilizer to improve tinting strength and to reduce rub-out, water absorption, and haze effects. Dosage recommendation (supply form) in waterborne acrylic lacquers is 1.3-1.9% and in solvent-borne alkyd lacquers 0.33-0.66%. When used during the premixing phase in the production of waterborne emulsion paints (high PVC), Emulsogen LCN 118 also acts as a processing aid and helps to reduce the grinding time by faster deagglomeration of TiO2 and fillers.   • Emulsogen TS 200

    Emulsogen TS 200 is a nonionic wetting agent for use as a compatibilizer in waterborne high PVC paints, as well as in waterborne and solvent-borne low PVC lacquers. The general dosage (supply form) is 1.0-1.5% in emulsion paints and in acrylic lacquers, and 0.25% in alkyd lacquers. The additive can also be used as a dispersing agent in water-based pigment preparations, suitable for organic pigments and carbon blacks. Emulsogen TS 200 is recommended for POS-colorants as well as for concentrates for in-plant tinting. The general dosage recommendation is 5-30% on organic pigments and 20-40% on carbon black.Furthermore, Emulsogen TS 200 acts as a nonionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like acrylates, styrene-acrylates, and vinyl acetate. more

  • Genapol O 080 compatibilizer

    Genapol O 080 is a nonionic wetting agent for use as compatibilizer in waterborne high PVC paints, as well as in waterborne low PVC lacquers. The general dosage (supply form) is 0.5-1.0% in emulsion paints and 1.0-1.5% in acrylic lacquers. more

  • Genagen® COA

    Genagen COA is a non-VOC coalescing agent for decorative coatings.Many additives contain volatile organic compounds (VOC) that evaporate and degrade the environment, which are harmful for humans. Genagen COA complements paint formulator’s attempts to replace VOC-containing coalescing agents, and effectively reduces minimal film formation temperature (MFFT) of paint binders based on styrene/acrylic monomers, pure acrylic emulsion polymers and vinyl acetate polymers. It strongly supports the film formation at lower temperatures with little impact on the paint viscosity and binders. Genagen® COA can be added to the binder and the paint and is recommended to be used in low PVC paints like facades paints, wood coatings and lacquers. Dosage: 1 – 4%product on polymer binder. more

  • Genamin Gluco 50

    Clariant’s latest innovation for the paint industry is Genamin® Gluco 50 – a renewable-based, VOC/SVOC-free multifunctional additive without any hazard labeling; thus the ideal ingredient for ecolabel certified paints. Genamin® Gluco 50 is a neutralizing agent for waterborne paints used to adjust the pH-value to around 8 - 10 to create a stable paint system with minor interactions between the paint components. In contrast to standard neutralizing agents such as caustic soda or ammonia, Genamin® Gluco 50 additionally enhances the performance and quality profile of the paint formulation as is has favorable effects for instance on the storage and freeze-thaw stability as well as on the compatibility with pigments and the flash-rust inhibition. Even in comparison to multifunctional compounds such as aminomethyl propanol (AMP), Genamin® Gluco 50 often shows superior performance and therefore can be used as AMP replacement.     Dispersogen SP Plus is a low viscous, anionic additive for organosilicate paints which contain up to 10% water glass (28% active potassium silicate).     Polyglykol 200 LVC is a very low-VOC humectant for water-borne pigment preparations with little impact on wet scrub resistance. Nipacide CFX 4 is effective against a wide range of microorganisms including gram positive and gram negative bacteria, yeast and fungi. When products are prone to surface contamination by fungi and head space protection is required, Nipacide CFX 4 should be the biocide of choice. Nipacide CFX 4 is effective against a wide range of spoilage organisms and pH stable up to pH 9 and temperature stable up to 40 °C. more

Nipacide CI is effective against a wide range of microorganisms including gram positive and gram negative bacteria, yeast and fungi.
