CORRTREAT®

DEXICOM​®

Clariant Oil Services provides a range of high performance, environmentally-acceptable products for plant cleaning and the removal of toxic gases associated with decommissioning and mothballing. Our DEXICOM technologies provide effective hydrocarbon removal, inorganic deposit removal (including NORM), organic deposit removal and hydrogen sulfide scavenging. DEXICOM products aid separation and disposal of hazardous fluids and can be used for mothballing vessels, pipelines and surface equipment.

DISSOLVAN®

Clariant Oil Services’ DISSOLVAN demulsifier base chemistry technology has been used in finished demulsifier products to successfully separate the world’s oil from water for more than 50 years—from the lightest sweet crudes to the heaviest sour crudes, from Alaska to the Far East—and in compliance with some of the most stringent environmental regulations.

A blend of appropriate DISSOLVAN demulsifier bases can be used to treat light, medium and heavy crudes, ASP and steam flood systems, EOR – polymer flood systems, slop oil, oil sands, naphthenic crude and fluid and solid separation.

The correct blend of DISSOLVAN demulsifier base technologies provide value through dry export oil, rapid water drop, optimized process control, low salt in crude, oil recovery of crude processing waste and sludge, high quality effluent water for disposal re-injection, and the reduction / elimination of high viscosity emulsions.

FLOCTREAT®

Clariant Oil Services’ FLOCTREAT water clarification technologies were designed to remove contaminants of residual oil and solids in produced water, while meeting regulatory requirements. Our extensive product range of FLOCTREAT flotation and filter aids, flocculants, coagulants and reverse emulsion breakers help customers meet discharge regulatory requirements and improve separation operating efficiency, recovery of hydrocarbons and separator efficiency.

FLOTREAT

Clariant Oil Services’ FLOTREAT range of downhole treatments removes and prevents asphaltene deposits and resolves emulsions that have formed in the near-wellbore. FLOTREAT asphaltene control technologies reduce asphaltene fouling in pipelines, downhole tubulars and surface processes, improves dehydration through the removal of asphaltene interface pads, offers squeeze applications for downhole and reservoir protection, and prevents asphaltene deposition from mixing incompatible fluids.

FLOTREAT drag reducers increase fluid throughput to water injection or disposal wells, as well as multiphase or hydrocarbon transportation systems. FLOTREAT drag reducers allow more fluid to be transported through a pipeline or flowline using a similar energy input / cost, allow the same fluid to be transported through a pipeline or flowline using less energy / cost, and allow for increased water injection to occur, thus improving reservoir sweep and oil recovery rates. FLOTREAT drag reducers also help minimize the erosion of pipelines and flowlines.

FOAMTREAT

Clariant Oil Services’ line of defoamers and anti-foam technologies provides foam management products for both oil- and aqueous-based fluids. The application of a FOAMTREAT defoamer or anti-foam can minimize loss of pump capacity and efficiency, reduce the amount of fluid (oil) into gas transport lines, increase separator efficiency and increase oil and gas throughput, as well as prevent unplanned shutdowns.

HOSTADRILL®

Clariant Oil Services’ HOSTADRILL® technologies are HT/HP fluid loss additives for drilling applications that improve operations and achieve optimum results. HOSTADRILL fluid loss additives address the challenges of high temperature, pressure and salinity environments by providing excellent fluid loss control in water-based drilling fluids. These technologies enable HT/HP drilling, minimize formation damage, reduce operating costs and are environmentally-friendly.

HOSTAMER®

Clariant Oil Services’ HOSTAMER® technologies are HT/HP fluid loss additives for cementing applications. HOSTAMER cementing additives are fluid loss control additives for low to high temperature cement slurries. These technologies help ensure desired compressive cement strength, promote rheological control, are low- to non-retarding and, hence, contribute to excellent control of thickening time and short transition time and are environmentally-friendly. HOSTAMER technologies provide robust cement slurries, from fresh water to saturated salt application, and are compatible with most common cementing additives and cement brands.

HYTREAT®

Clariant Oil Services’ HYTREAT hydrate management and control technologies are designed to provide hydrate control for the most severe conditions of sub-cooling. Through continued research, Clariant Oil Services has developed a range of multifunctional products providing cost and efficiency benefits for both current and new developments. HYTREAT technologies help reduce operating and start-up risk, protect in higher sub-cooling conditions than more standard products, reduce start-up time, lower logistics costs, extend well life, and eliminate refinery problems through use of alcohols.

ICETREAT

Clariant Oil Services’ ICETREAT flow assurance technologies offer specially-formulated solutions that prevent blockages formed by water and hydrates in gas wells and gas flow lines. The technology is recommended for application in single gas wells and gas flow lines when freezing occurs at a choke, orifice plate, or a back pressure valve. The ICETREAT Flow Assurance suite of products yields significant benefits when applied in gas wells and gas flow lines, including enhanced production output, lower operation and transportation costs, reduced production downtime and substantial health, safety and environmental benefits.

LIBERATE®

Clariant Oil Services’ LIBERATE near wellbore remediation technology is an integrated system of solutions that focuses on damage removal in the wellbore region that negatively affects the normal oil production curve. Developed to help mitigate the loss of revenue and production resulting from partial blockages of the pore spaces due to the deposition of organic materials, a LIBERATE treatment begins with the innovative “LIBERATE Engineering Analytics & Diagnostics” (LEAD) program.

Clariant Oil Services experts apply the LEAD program to design a custom solution to remediate well damage. Then, the deployed chemical treatment will penetrate through the near wellbore area, dissolving and removing the particulate matter that has created the blockages. The LEAD program design will also include a brief shut-in period, followed by a systematic approach to flowing back the well safely. Once the well is brought back on full production, the hydrocarbons are naturally released to flow freely through the recently cleaned and opened pore spaces. PHASETREAT®

PRESERVAN®

Clariant Oil Services’ PRESERVAN line of hydrotest technologies delivers exemplary performance in a variety of easy-to-use, flexible options to meet all of your pipeline and process preservation needs. The PRESERVAN range of technologies also includes multi-functional products that can contain oxygen scavenger to remove dissolved oxygen, biocide to control the proliferation of bacteria responsible for MIC, corrosion inhibitors to prevent general and local corrosion, and dyes that enable the remote detection of leaks and seeps from the pipeline.

Also available as single-blend, combination products, PRESERVAN technologies decrease complexity – one product and one injection point – as well as reducing chemical movement, thus improving logistics and safety. The high level of performance offered by these multi-functional products is equivalent to dosing with individual products separately; treatment time and equipment costs are also therefore reduced. There are also no chemical compatibility issues, as the ‘cocktail’ of chemicals are already combined in one fluid.

RELTREAT

Clariant Oil Services’ SCAVTREAT scavengers are used to control hydrogen sulfide, iron sulfide, sulfide scale and oxygen. Clariant Oil Services offers a suite of water-soluble and oil-soluble scavengers for removing sulfide species from both gases and liquids, as well as a range of batch and continuously injected products designed to remove FeS or treat the cause of its formation. SCAVTREAT scavengers also are used to scavenge oxygen, the choice of which is dependent upon the concentration of oxygen present, and are available as multifunctional products that combine oxygen scavenging with other production chemical treating solutions.

SURFTREAT®

Clariant Oil Services’ SURFTREAT® range of technologies comprises product functionalities such as cleaning, detergency, wettability modification and other general surfactant type applications. SURFTREAT chemical technologies have been developed to help users regain well productivity and maintain safe and environmentally-acceptable operations. Products offered under the SURFTREAT brand provide treatment solutions for chemically-assisted pipeline cleaning for pigging operations, and wettability modification for pre-treatment prior to, for example, acid dissolver treatment. Downhole production problems such as scale, paraffin, H2S scavenging and corrosion can also be usefully treated or pre-treated using SURFTREAT products.
