We employ and promote our staff solely on the basis of their qualifications and skills. Why it’s worth caring about the future

Parents often face many challenges once their baby is born. One of these is juggling professional and family life. In order to help you with this balancing act, Clariant introduced its Family Support Policy in 2012. We want to make sure that you have enough time for your family without sacrificing career opportunities within the company.

What this means in practice is that we have implemented several measures to make it a little easier to achieve a healthy work-life balance. The corresponding guidelines apply globally across all Business Units and areas. Among the guarantees they make is that mothers returning from parental leave will be able to assume a suitable position within one year of giving birth to or adopting a child. After returning to work, mothers are also granted ten additional paid vacation days for two years following said birth or adoption. This measure serves to support their smooth transition back into the labor market. Fathers can also take advantage of this provision. We know that for many people, family and friends are the most important things in life (as was confirmed when we called on all Group staff to answer the question »What is precious to you?«). As an appreciative company, we encourage our employees to enjoy these precious aspects of life. Because committed, motivated employees are essential for us to continue creating value and enhancing our position on the world’s markets.
