Clay Academy Webinar

(This webinar will be conducted in Indonesia Bahasa)

Not all clays are the same

We would like to invite you to an upcoming webinar where we will explore the diverse applications of clay in various industries. We understand that there is a common misconception that all clays are the same. However, this is far from the truth. Did you know there are many different types of clays with unique properties that make them suitable for different uses, beyond just bentonite clay?

As the largest clay producer in the world, Clariant has been operating for over 30 years in Indonesia, supplying many industries with 57 distinct clays sourced from 39 mines located around the world. One of the uses of clay in the livestock industry is as a toxin binder to prevent the harmful effects of mycotoxins produced by fungi, which can contaminate feed during various stages of production, storage, and processing. In fact, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization reports that 25% of feed worldwide is contaminated with mycotoxins. Furthermore, clay has various other uses such as managing wet dropping and diarrhoea in animals, absorbing ammonia, and addressing pond water problems in shrimp farms.

While clay is commonly used as a toxin binder to prevent the harmful effects of mycotoxins, it is important to consider that not all clays are identical. At Clariant, we have a team of experts in geology and R&D who can help you select the most suitable clay for your specific needs. We are excited to share our knowledge with you through the upcoming Clay Academy webinar, and we invite you to join us to learn more about the diverse applications of clay in various industries.

We look forward to seeing you there!
