Process Engineer

Job Purpose

The Process Engineer Coordinates activities of Product Technology Group to ensure the most efficient, effective, and safe manufacture of quality product by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects under the guidance of the Product Technology Group Manager
  • Process implementation, improvement and production optimization
  • Ensure proper utilization Management of Change procedures
  • Ensure proper utilization of the New Product Commercialization Process
  • Measure Product Quality, Process Capability, Yield, etc. utilizing various Statistical Process Control techniques
  • Improve process efficiencies including First Pass Quality, Productivity, and Safety
  • Provide plant support by coordinating and following new products with R&D from inception through product commercialization and full production hand off to manufacturing
  • Develops  Process and Procedure Documentation and Operator Training Materials
  • Works closely with ESHA department to ensure appropriate safety, health and environmental factors are considered and adhered to throughout all aspects of the product development to commercialization process

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 2-4 years of  process management experience
  • Must have excellent overall computer skills, SAP experience is preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to work closely with customers
  • Ability to work varied work hours
  • Must be a self starter and able to make fast and accurate decisions
  • Must be results oriented with ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to travel as needed, travel could be moderate to heavy at times.
