We offer an extensive portfolio of more than 250 catalysts, including petrochemical and fuel refining catalysts, synthesis gas catalysts, chemical catalysts, and emission control catalysts, as well as zeolites materials for a variety of applications. To further drive the commercial growth of this business unit we are looking to hire a Senior Account Manager EMEA & CIS (M/F/D)

Responsibilities

Sales and Technical Service

  • Sales and technical service of catalysts in our region EMEA/CIS
  • Analysis and reporting of plant data, identification of potentials for optimisation, troubleshooting
  • Develop strong relationships at all levels within the customers’ organization
  • Seek new customers and new applications covering the entire region
  • Correspond with customers in concise, professional manner using appropriate grammar
  • Prepare complete, clear and concise technical and commercial quotes and proposals

 

Coordination / Communication

  • Report on competitive activity, continously update market database and prepare forecasts of short term and long term business potentials
  • Strategic account planning: prospecting, active cross-selling, order fulfillment
  • Practicing a systematic selling process including account planning, call reports, sales call planning and proactive use of sales tools.

 

Continues Improvement / Efficiency Increase

  • Consulting with multiple resources and departments, understanding the customers business and continually positioning our products to meet needs
  • Track trends of the market; gather intelligence concerning customers and competitors and market developments
  • Maintaining the forecast to realize highest forecast accuracy
  • Lead and manage customer projects by applying a structured stage-gate process and continously involving all relevant parties; deliver to promised timelines

Requirements

  • Minimum of a masters degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in research or sales in the chemical industry, preferably in the area of hydrogenation
  • Deep knowledge in SAP
  • Excellent overall computer skills (MS Office)
  • Fluent in German and English, third language a plus
  • Excellent communication skills on all levels and professional demeanour
  • Excellent structural and analytical skills
  • Experience in leading a team
  • High-performer working well in a feedback-rich culture
