PolyMax™ 131 is specially designed to alkylate benzene with propylene for the production of cumene (isopropylbenzene), a component of crude oil and refined fuels. Composed of solid phosphoric acid (SPA) on kieselguhr, the catalyst features a robust extruded shape which provides excellent resistance to attrition. PolyMax 131 also offers high productivity and excellent longevity under a wide range of operating conditions, depending on feedstock type and plant design.
