Clariant’s Exolit® non-halogenated flame retardants provide environmental friendly and sustainable solutions for products used in a variety of industries. Exolit® is a phosphorus chemistry based flame retardant and is added to polyamide 6 with 20% glass fibers (PA6-GF20 FR) to create an exceptional flame retardant 3D printer filament for parts to be used in numerous end applications. The reinforcement of the polyamide 6 with 20% glass fibers results in a material with very good mechanical properties and an improved heat deflection temperature.
Benefits
  • Flame retardant material
  • Semi-crystalline thermoplastic
  • High impact strength
  • High stiffness
  • Outstanding wear resistance
  • Very good temperature resistance
  • Reduced thermo-oxidative degradation
  • Improved long term heat and stability to ultraviolet and visible light
  • Improved mechanical properties with the additional of 20% glass reinforcement

Applications*
  • Functional end use parts
  • Functional prototypes
*Subject to detailed product specifications.
