Clariant polypropylene (PP) 3D printer filament is optimized with an additive to improve interlayer adhesion during printing. Clariant Hostanox® P-EPQ® and Hostavin® N 30 are added to the polypropylene to improve the heat stability and resistance to thermo-oxidative degradation and yellowing during printing and usage.

  • Print Temperature = 200-220°C
  • Print Speed = 10-20 mm/s
  • Bed Adhesion = direct printing onto polypropylene based tape, market available adhesion sheets or 3D printing specific adhesives (e.g. Magigoo PP) coated onto a build plate
  • Bed Temperature = ideally 80°C
  • Fan Settings = medium to high
  • Print recommendations = printing polypropylene with large overhangs is difficult and print quality will be design dependent

Note: parameters are dependent on printer used; Clariant tests were performed on an Ultimaker 3 extended and an Ultimaker S5 printer.

Packaging

1 kg and 5 kg spools of 3D printer filament.
Custom sizes are available upon request.

Storage

Ideally store the 3D printer filament in a cool, dry place at temperatures between 5 to 25°C in a sealed container with the provided Clariant Desi Pak® desiccant bag. Polypropylene is hydrophobic but can be dried at 80°C for 2-4 hours with a vacuum or desiccant drying system to improve print performance. Minimum shelf life is 1 year from the date of shipping when properly stored.
