The Emulsogen™ MTP technology platform

Emulsogen MTP 010 is a co-emulsifier based on oxalkylate derived from vegetable fatty alcohol. It is used in mineral and vegetable oil formulations to improve emulsification and stability. The product appears as a colourless to slightly yellowish hazy liquid with an active content of approximately 99%. It has a pH of about 6.8 (10% in ethanol/water 1:1), a cloud point of approximately 40.7°C, and a pour point of about 3°C. It is stable under normal conditions and not classified as hazardous.

Emulsogen™ MTP 030 is a multifunctional label-free nonionic emulsifier for metal working fluids with outstanding low pour point and low foaming properties. Emulsogen™ MTP 030 also exhibits very good lime soap dispersing properties and is able to disperse large quantities of calcium oleate or tallate. Because of its excellent solubility in almost all kinds of mineral oils, Emulsogen™ MTP 030 can be used as an anti-wear additive to improve lubricity. Emulsogen™ MTP 030 has a sustainable profile, reducing the impact on the environment and being safe to personal health.

Emulsogen™ MTP 070 is able to disperse large quantities of calcium oleate or tallate. Emulsogen™ MTP 090 is a label-free nonionic emulsifier for metal working fluids with excellent low foaming properties. Emulsogen™ MTP 090 has a high HLB of 12 and a cloud point of 75°C. In contrast to classical oleyl 6 EO emulsifier like Emulsogen MS 12, Emulsogen MTP 090 is hazard label free, German Water Hazardous Class 1 (WGK 1) and exhibits excellent handling properties even at low temperature. Emulsogen™ MTP 090 has a sustainable profile, reducing the impact on the environment and being safe to the personal health.

Emulsogen™ COL 100 is an ether carboxylic acid with excellent emulsification and dispersing properties. It is used as a co-emulsifier in a broad variety of emulsifiable metal working fluids. In combination with other suitable nonionic or anionic components, as little as 2-3 % Emulsogen™ COL 100 in the mineral oil concentrate are sufficient to improve emulsion stability and dispersity. Emulsogen™ COL 100 also shows outstanding lime soap dispersing power and is able to disperse large quantities of calcium oleate or tallate.
