Since the 1st of January 2020, the International Maritime Organization has implemented a sulfur limit for marine fuels of 0.5% also known as “IMO 2020”. Compliant low sulfur fuel oils (LSFO) may arrive from a waxy low sulfur crude diet and/or as a blend of different residual streams.
DISPERSOGEN™ 2020 is a polymer-based compatibility enhancer for LSFO. The product is used as a preventive measure to allow LSFO blending across all regions, which will help global refiners meet new regulation standards with fuel oil blends that remain stable and compatible.

Genapol EC 50 M 90 is a liquid form of Genapol EC 50 and is designed for an easier handling of the product. It provides the same performance benefits as Genapol EC 50.
Exolit OP 1230 Terra is a white, fine-grained powder based on an organic phosphinate. The product is non-hygroscopic and it is insoluble in water and organic solvents. Clariant’s Exolit OP flame retardants for polyamides are all based on aluminum diethyl-phosphinate (= DEPAL). The pure substance DEPAL is sold as Exolit OP 1230 and in combination with synergists as Exolit OP 13xx & Exolit OP 14xx types. Exolit OP 1230 is the first non-halogenated flame retardant which can withstand the demanding requirements of this high end segment of engineering plastics.
Exolit OP 1230 Terra is chemicially and from its composition equivalent to Exolit OP 1230, but comes with a mass balance certificate as for its production, renewable based Ethylene was sourced.
Therefore we assume that for Exolit OP Terra products no additional performance testing and qualification compared to the standard grade are necessary.

Following the implementation of SECA zones (Sulfur Emission Control Areas) in 2015, the IMO 2020 regulation has now set a sulfur cap of 0.5% for the entire shipping industry globally.
Distillate based Marine fuel also known as marine diesel fulfills both Sulfur requirements and can be used as a universal ship fuel. Depending on the cut point, it may show an increased pour point that does not comply to the requirements of the ISO 8217 (e.g. DMA, DMB).
DODIFLOW™ 6087 is a highly, reliable fuel additive to improve the cold flow properties of low sulfur marine fuel distillates. In addition, it allows to fulfill the pour point specifications according to ISO 8217 as well as to improve the low temperature filterability (CFPP).

Hostapur 1530 has good compatibility property with alkaline formulations, could be dissolved in at most 7 % caustic soda solution.
