Robust, Highly Selective Catalysts for Methanol to Propylene (MTP) Technology

MTPROP™ Series

Clariant’s highly selective MTPROP™ catalyst series is specially designed for the Methanol to Propylene (Lurgi MTP™) technology jointly developed by Air Liquide and Clariant. Air Liquide’s Lurgi MTP™ process combines an efficient reactor system with Clariant's highly selective MTPROP zeolite-based catalysts, to convert methanol to propylene in the presence of steam.

 

An industry benchmark for MTP applications, the MTPROP catalyst series helps cover the growing demand for on-purpose propylene production derived from flexible C1-Cx feedstock. The technology and catalysts have been successfully proven at several commercial plants throughout China.
