Polyglycol AM grades are ethoxylates, end capped with an allyl and a methyl group. The products vary primarily in the length of their polyethylene glycol chain. Polyglycol AM 250, AM 350 and AM 450 are low-viscous liquids, Polyglycol AM 1100 is a waxy solid. All polyethylene glycol allyl methyl ethers are hydrophilic and biodegradable. Other advantages include their compatibility with many materials, relatively high heat resistance and low toxicity.
