Introducing Exolit AP 422 A, our next-generation highly effective and melamine-free flame retardant that offers exceptional fire protection and meets stringent fire safety standards. Exolit AP 422 A, is a versatile halogen-free ammonium polyphosphate (APP) solution suitable for a wide range of applications including intumescent coatings, fire stop sealing systems, thermoset composites for E-mobility used for battery housings and battery housing coatings, rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation foams, and more. In polyurethane foams, it serves as a suitable replacement for TCPP (Tris(chloropropyl) phosphate) providing flame retardancy without plasticizing effects.
With tightening regulations and melamine being classified as a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) under EU REACH, we continue to meet the demands of modern industries by offering manufacturers a SVHC-free version of our well-know fire retardant Exolit AP 422, providing the same exceptional performance without melamine (according to Article 31 of the REACH Regulation).
