Safeway - An efficient way of runway de-Icing

The specially designed composition of all Safeway™ de-/anti-Icers ensures that the corrosion of materials used in aircraft construction is reduced to a minimum. Safeway™ runway de-/ anti-Icers meet the requirement of internationally recognized Aerospace Material Specification AMS 1431 and AMS 1435 for solid and liquid de- / anti-icers, respectively. Certificates awarded by the independent Scientific Material International Inc, USA (SMI) recognize the compatibility of Clariant de- / anti-icers with various metals and polymer materials.

For the most economical use of the Safeway™ de-/anti-icers, apply the solid Clariant Safeway™ product to the ice- or packed snow layer, in which it will develop holes. When the liquid Safeway™ de-/anti-icers are then applied, the liquid has a path to the pavement surface and quickly breaks the pack prior to mechanical removal.
