Hostastat™ FA 68 V
Hostastat FA 68 V is a Clariant proprietary vegetable based and Halal certified antistatic well suited for polyolefin based flexible packaging. It provides excellent long term antistatic performance in terms of surface resistivity and static decay times. Hostastat FA 68 V also maintains a high optical film quality level making it a preferred antistatic for transparent printable films.

Hostastat FA 68 V is recommended for use in flexible polyolefin films and in particular in BOPP film production. It prevents excessive surface blooming avoiding ink misting and adhesion problems during printing and lamination. As such it is the preferred antistatic agent for transparent printable films. Its high thermal stability also prevents excessive volatiles emission avoiding condensation and dripping effects in the stretching and heat setting sections of the BOPP lines.
Hostastat FA 68 V is offered together with Clariant’s proprietary Liquid Feeding Technology (LFT) as a one-stop-shop approach. This concept provides access to the direct feeding process technology and the application know-how. The resulting raw material cost savings potential leads to profitability improvement opportunities to the film manufacturing industry.
