Clariant’s broad range of quality waxes for polyolefin masterbatches and compounds enables easier and more economical polymer processing and leads to more favorable properties – such as color yield or surface quality - in end products. What’s more, our maleic anhydride grafted performance polymers, Licocene PE / PP MA, are well suited to support the trend of thermoplastic composites by working as effective coupling and compatibilizing agents. Clariant offers a complete range of diverse types of dispersing and wetting agents for producing color and additive masterbatches. Two of our highlight are our Ceridust and Licocene solutions. The micronized Ceridust® waxes enable stable pigment dispersions without agglomerations to achieve optimal coloring of plastics parts. Clariant’s innovative Licocene® grades are used not only as dispersion aids but also as carriers to attain higher pigment or additive loadings and lower processing temperatures and reduce mechanical shear, useful for delicate organic pigments and special effects pigments, such as pearlescents and metallic flake.

Clariant’s maleic anhydride grafted Licocene grades are highly effective coupling agents for fiber reinforced polyolefins. They provide outstanding increase in mechanical properties of PE and PP based glass-, wood-, and natural fiber reinforced compounds.
In addition, they are also highly effective dispersing agents and compatibilizers for mineral filled polyolefin compounds. They provide good wetting and dispersion of the filler, increase mechanical properties in PE and PP based inorganic filled compounds.
