Amide wax

Ceridust® 3910

Micronized amide wax for solvent and water-based coatings, powder coatings, and printing inks. It can also be used in plastic application as dispersion and lubricating agent.

For liquid coatings and inks, Ceridust 3910 offers excellent anti-blocking and slip properties, water repellency effect, and enhances scratch resistance, with minimal impact of transparency. This can be used in can coating application as meat releasing agent. In powder coatings, Ceridust 3910 acts as an effective degassing agent and is suitable for post-blending. It also demonstrates excellent dispersion and lubricating properties in plastic application.

Applications
Ceridust 3910 is recommended for solvent and water based coatings and inks. It has also excellent degassing properties in powder coatings.

It is a slip additive in various printing ink systems. Additionally it also provides rub and scratch resistance.

In solvent and water based coatings the micronized amide wax performs as scratch resistance additive and lowers the coefficient of friction. Furthermore it improves the sand ability of wood coating and creates a soft touch effect on the surface.

In powder coatings it is a very effective degassing agent, especially for polyester based coatings. In addition high water repellence effect and scratch resistance can be achieved by adding the Ceridust 3910. Also the anti blocking behavior of the cured lacquer is improved with the add-on of Ceridust 3910.

Ceridust 3910 is a fine particle dispersing agent and is recommended for engineering polymers like PA, PC, PET, PBT, TPU, etc. The micronized dispersing agent particles are close to the pigment particles and being almost statistically ideally distributed, show a high likeliness to find a place between pigment particles, thus separating them from each other. Consequently those pigment particles will not form agglomerates. The early melting behavior of micronized particles leads to a coating effect of the pigment particles and neutralizes the binding forces of pigment particles, prevents them from re-agglomeration, eases pigment dispersion and stabilizes the dispersion. A mixture of standard powder and Ceridust already improves the color strength as well as the filter pressure value.

Dispersing agent, especially for hard-to-disperse pigments in masterbatches based on polyolefines and engineering resins like PA,PBT,PET,PC,PDM,TPU,PS etc. Additive for paints and coatings, sandin gaid and slip additive for inks.
