Singapore’s senior citizens
Clariant continues its efforts to build close community relations. In 2017, employees from Clariant’s Singapore office paid a visit to the Thong Kheng Seniors Activity Center, a center for the elderly located in the local neighborhood. This visit also served as the debut activity for the company’s Singapore Community Partnership Day, which is focused on developing long-term community relations.
The volunteers travelled to the center, which is operated by the Thong Kheng Welfare Services Society – welfare arm of the Thong Kheng Charitable Institution. The institution has been helping the disadvantaged and needy since 1943. Their objective of fostering friendship and cohesion in the community directly aligns with Clariant's core values.
“Clariant’s success is built on the foundation of performance, planet and people. By sustaining a long-term, rewarding relationship with our community in Singapore, we are building a solid cornerstone for our future in the region,” said Dieter Seng, Head of Clariant in Singapore.
It is a continuous effort to steer the company’s activities and contribute positively to the global sustainable development goals set out by the United Nations.
