HOSTAFLOT™ Flotation Collectors
Clariant Mining Solutions flotation collectors are engineered to increase sulfide recovery rates and concentrate grade during sulfide ore processing.The HOSTAFLOT™ flotation collector product line includes:
- HOSTAFLOT™ formulated collectors including dithiophosphates (DTP), thionocarbamates (TC), dithiophosphinates (DTPI), and customized formulations to maximize recovery and grade as the ore changes throughout the life of the mine.
- HOSTAFLOT™ xanthate-replacement collectors as a safer and more sustainable alternative for sulfide ore flotation without compromising recovery. Ready-to-use, non-flammable, water-soluble liquid collectors that eliminate the exposure to hazardous decomposition products like C₂S that can take place during preparation and use of xanthates.
- HOSTAFLOT™ collectors for coarse particle flotation to improve recovery of particles larger than 200µm when trying to increase mill throughput or designing coarse gangue rejection circuits.
FLOTANOL™ Frothers
Clariant Mining Solutions’ frothers optimize sulfide flotation through precise froth stability and bubble control to maximize mineral recovery. They are customized for each operation's specific needs to improve bubble mechanical strength for coarse and fine particle recovery while allowing effective drainage.
Specially formulated FLOTANOL™ frothers for coarse particle flotation improve flotation circuits operating at larger particle sizes.
FLOTICOR™ DP Depressants
Depressants designed to optimize mineral separation in sulfide ore flotation operations.The FLOTICOR™ DP depressant product line includes:
- FLOTICOR™ DP copper depressants to replace NaSH in copper-molybdenum separation, eliminating H₂S exposure while maintaining recovery at lower dosages
- FLOTICOR™ DP pyrite depressants to reduce iron content in copper concentrates
- FLOTICOR™ DP carbon depressants to suppress carbonaceous gangue interference in carbon-containing ores
- FLOTICOR™ DP clay and silicate depressants to minimize interference of talc, biotite, mica, feldspar and other silicates in flotation

HOSTAFLOT™ collectors, FLOTANOL™ frothers, and FLOTICOR™ DP depressants maximize copper recovery and concentrate grade across primary, secondary, and oxidized copper ores. They also effectively manage challenging conditions such as high viscosity pulps, undesirable contaminants, and interference of iron sulfide minerals like pyrite.
HOSTAFLOT™ collectors, FLOTANOL™ frothers, and FLOTICOR™ DP sulfide depressants optimize molybdenum recovery and quality creating a safer work environment. HOSTAFLOT™ molybdenum collectors are formulated avoiding hazardous aromatic components (benzene, toluene, ethylxylene, BTEX) and deliver molydenum concentrates with low oil content. FLOTANOL™ frothers are especially formulated for the unique froth stability requirements of copper-molybdenum circuits. FLOTICOR™ DP sulfide depressants effectively depress copper in copper-molybdenum separation circuits. When used as complete replacement for NaSH, they eliminate H₂S exposure risks.
Customized HOSTAFLOT™ collectors and FLOTANOL™ frothers maximize PGM recovery and concentrate quality through enhanced selectivity against chromite and talc gangue minerals. Lower chrome and talc content and increased overall PGM grades in the concentrates are achieved.
HOSTAFLOT™ collectors including dithiophosphinates and dithiophosphinate alternatives maximize recovery and selectivity in complex polymetallic ore processing. Clariant’s polymetallics collectors are formulated specifically for lead, zinc, copper, nickel, cobalt, and silver circuits.
