Hostacor™ 2732 is a liquified version of Hostacor™ IS and used as low foaming corrosion inhibitor in cutting & grinding fluids, in rolling emulsions and water-based hydraulic fluids (HFA-E, HFA-S).
Hostacor™ 2732 is insoluble in water. Water soluble salts of Hostacor™ 2732 are obtained by neutralization with alkanolamines and hydroxides. These are used alone or in combination with other water soluble corrosion inhibitors or lubricants.
Alkanolamine salts derived from Hostacor™ 2732 are excellent corrosion inhibitors for steel and show very good hard water stability.
