Product Information

Benefits
  • Hostastat FA 14 is an antistatic agent based on renewable fatty acids with rather balanced application properties
  • In combination with Hostastat FE 1 it shows a well balanced performance in terms of time to get the antistatic effect and durability of the effect
Hazards
Classification according CLP regulation (Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, as amended)
    Acute toxicity, Cat. 4
    Skin corrosion/irritation, Cat. 1C
    Acute aquatic toxicity, Cat. 1
    M-Factor (Acute aquatic toxicity) 10
    Chronic aquatic toxicity, Cat. 1
    M-Factor (Chronic aquatic toxicity) 10
For further information please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet.
Setting Point  1 °C (34 °F)
Melting Point - 2 °C (28 °F)
Content of tertiary amine ≥ 97.5 %
Hostastat FA 14 is a highly effective internal antistatic agent. It is added to equalize and reduce static charges on polymers surface preventing undesired or hazardous effects caused by dust attraction, spark discharge, ink misting.

Hostastat FA 14 offers high performance and long term efficiency for thermoplastic polymers, i.e. polyolefins or styrenics.

For applications where immediate antistatic effects are required it is recommended to combine Hostastat FA 14 with rapidly acting antistatic agents, .e.g. Hostastat FE 2.
