Hycite 713 neutralizes the acidic catalyst residues from the olefin polymerization process. Corrosion of metallic surfaces of processing equipment is minimized, resulting in reduced maintenance costs.

Hycite 713 prevents the deactivation of functional additives, e.g. phosphates, phosphites, phenolic antioxidants and hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) during the plastics life cycle. The overall stabilization performance is enhanced, because valuable additives are stabilized or the deactivation is prevented.

Hycite 713 is especially advantageous, because acidic compounds and anions intercalate and are bound to the inorganic hydrotalcite matrix. The resulting immobilisation avoids migration of undesired products to the surface of the plastics.

Hycite 713 offers an absorption capacity which is about 3 times higher (on mass basis) than that of conventional acid scavengers like calcium stearate.

Hycite 713 can be easily and homogeneously dispersed in polymers due to the special surface coating and its exceptional fineness.
