HOSTAFLOT™ 10257

HOSTAFLOT™ 10257 is a safer, better alternative to diesel and traditional oil-based molybdenum collectors. Due to the CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, and reprotoxic) profile of diesel and traditional oil-based collectors, sulfide mining companies are facing increased risks for the workers regarding the safety profiles of these traditional collectors. Through collaboration with the customer, Clariant developed alternatives with high molybdenum flotation performance and a safer hazard profile for mines, increasing the safety of the workers. HOSTAFLOT™ 10257 copper and molybdenum collector allows the operators to discontinue the use of diesel and traditional hazardous oil-based collectors and it may provide better molybdenum and copper recovery. In addition, HOSTAFLOT™ 10257 also reduces the amount of oil added to the flotation circuit.
