Hostagliss™ DHSZ TERRA is a polar polymer which additionally contains an acid function that can be neutralized. The multiple functional groups of the polymer exhibit a high affinity to metal surfaces. It has good lubricity and anti-wear properties, making it suitable for use as a component in non-water miscible metal working fluids such as cutting oils or deep drawing oils. It is soluble in naphthenic and hydrocrack oils even in the neutralized form and offers good stability against hydrolysis in alkaline media.
