Direct-to-Chip cooling for Data Centers –
Heat transfer fluids by Clariant
Ready-to-use MPG-based coolant for Direct-to-Chip cooling
Clariant provides heat transfer fluids for data center liquid cooling systems. Built on 75+ years of thermal management expertise, our fluids keep Technology Cooling Systems (TCS) running reliably while protecting equipment from corrosion, fouling, and microbial growth. For Facility Water Systems (FWS), established Antifrogen™ solutions are also available.
We offer a portfolio of options for direct-to-chip cooling. For most applications, Antifrogen™ PG 25 is the recommended choice:
- Ready-to-use mixture based on monopropylene glycol (MPG) with a low toxicity profile
- Antifreeze protection down to -11°C
- Protection against fouling and microbial growth
- Fulfills the requirements of the OCP guideline
Available on request: concentrate and customized concentrations, fluorescent tracer for leak detection, and low carbon footprint versions based on mass-balance or recycled glycol.
Antifrogen™ PG25 - Greater chemistry for data centers
The challenge: Rising heat loads in Data Centers
Higher processor densities are increasing heat output across data center cooling systems. Conventional cooling methods are no longer sufficient for high-density server environments. Direct-to-chip cooling addresses this by removing heat at the source. It requires a fluid that delivers both thermal performance and long-term equipment protection.
The solution: Clariant heat transfer fluids for direct cooling
Clariant's data center cooling fluids are formulated for Technology Cooling Systems (TCS) and Facility Water Systems (FWS). The primary solution is Antifrogen™ PG 25.
