Lauryl polyglycol ether sulfosuccinate, disodium salt
Emulsogen SE 2404
Edition Date :
July 17, 2026
Emulsogen SE 2404 is an anionic emulsifier used for the polymerization of vinyl acetate and comonomers like versatic acid vinyl esters, butyl acrylate, or ethylene. It is particularly recommended for emulsion polymers with high wetting power due to its low surface tension and low critical micelle concentration.
Product Information
Benefits
- Low surface tension (~24 mN/m): delivers superior wetting power in VAc, butyl acrylate and ethylene-based polymerization systems
- Low CMC (~0.1 g/L): highly efficient at dosages of 0.5–1.5% active on monomers
- Small particle size formation: ensures consistent dispersion quality and reproducible binder performance
- Coagulum prevention: improves process reliability and reduces yield losses
- EU Drinking Water Directive (2020/2184) compliant
