PolyMax™ 153 is a high-performance purification catalyst for bulk removal of carbonyl sulfide (COS). The catalyst achieves outstanding purity of feedstock, with COS content below the detectable limit.

PolyMax 153 converts COS into hydrogen sulfide (H2S) by hydrolysis using the moisture in the feedstock. The H2S can then be removed downstream using Clariant's PolyMax™ 172 adsorbent.
