Emulsogen™ ENF

Emulsogen™  ENF is a nonylphenol-free ready-to use package for de-watering fluids, providing wetting agent and corrosion inhibiting properties to the formulation.

A special drying process used in metalworking consists in briefly immersing the metal parts in solvents such as white spirit, kerosene or similar hydrocarbons. The rapid separation of the water from the metal surface is effected by a wetting agent. Selected corrosion inhibitors in the wetting agent impart adequate temporary corrosion protection to the metal parts under normal temperature and humidity conditions. The corrosion protection depends on storage and environmental conditions.

Emulsogen™  ENF is tailor-made for this application. It is used at a concentration of only 0.6-1.2%. The water adhering to the metal surface is displaced within a few seconds when metal parts are dipped in the dewatering fluid. The metal parts are then effectivly protected against corrosion during storage.
