Polyglykol P41/300 is a water-soluble polyalkylene glycol (PAG) to be used as synthetic base fluid in gear oils and greases, as polymer in water-based quenchants and as thickener in fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.
Benefits
Use as synthetic base fluid, e.g. in gear oils or greases
- Reduced friction and wear to expand system lifetime
- Reduction of micro-pitting
- Excellent thermo-oxidative stability
- High thermal conductivity
- Operability in a wide temperature range with a high viscosity index
Use as thickener in fire-resistant hydraulic fluids
- Excellent thickening properties
- Highly effective anti-corrosion and anti-wear properties
- Good filtration properties
- Compatibility with elastomers
- Reducing risk of fire
Use as polymer in quenchants
- Easy dilution in water and avoidance of water insoluble cracking products
- Versatile use for different quenching applications
- Controlling cooling rates by a balanced composition of the quenching fluid
- Achieving a wide range of quenching speeds due to flexible adjustment of the concentration
