Dehydrogenation Catalysts for Production of Styrene from Ethylbenzene
StyroMax® Series
Edition Date :
March 21, 2024
The StyroMax® series is designed to promote the dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene monomer far more efficiently than many other state-of-the-art catalysts. Thanks to their outstanding selectivity and high activity, the catalysts help to maximize styrene yield while minimizing by-product formation. Producers also benefit from reliable operation with low deactivation rates, low pressure drop, and high resistance to coke formation or accidental poisoning.
A complete range of StyroMax catalysts are available for both standard and ultra-low steam-to-oil (SOR) or steam-to-hydrocarbon (SHR) ratios. Because they require less steam for styrene production, the latter versions reduce energy costs, and allow more sustainable operation.
