Hostavin® 3053 LIQ

Hostavin 3053 is the 80% solution of a low molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) in xylene. It is characterized by its excellent solubility, broad compatibility, extremely low volatility and migration stability.

  • Solventborne Coating: Low volatility during stoving, easy to dissolve, reduced self-color

Hostavin 3053 can be used in solventless and solventborne paints. Depending on the requested stabilization, the addition rate should be in the range of 1.0 to 3.0 %. All concentrations relate to active UV stabilizer on solid resin. As a non-substituted HALS, Hostavin 3053 is slightly basic and can have an influence on the crosslinking of binders. In such a case, the alternative use of Hostavin 3058 is recommended.

Delivery form
Tends sometimes towards crystallization, which has no influence on efficiency.

For best shelf life store this product in a dry area at normal ambient temperatures.
Water clear liquid, tends at lower temperatures towards crystallization, which has no influence on efficiency.
Solidified product will become liquid again at temperatures about 50°C.
Minimum shelf life is 2 years from date of shipping when properly stored in the original sealed packaging.
