Hostavin 3326 powder is an UV absorber with broad absorption. Besides coating applications, it is mainly used as an UV stabilizer for a wide range of plastics.

Benefits
- Solventborne coating: UV absorber (BZT) with a high UV absorptivity and red shifted absorption, which makes it highly suitable for exterior wood protective coatings. Limited solubility in organic solvents.

Application Coatings
Hostavin 3326 powder is particularly recommended in high end solvent borne wood protective coatings. The concentration should not exceed 1.0 to 1.5% of active stabilizer on solid resins, due to limited solubility. In clear coats, a combination from Hostavin 3326 powder and a radical scavenger (HALS) like Hostavin 3065 liq or Hostavin N30 powder is recommended, depending on the binder chemistry and the stabilization requirements.
Applications Plastics
Hostavin 3326 powder has a rather broad absorptivity in the UV-A and UV-B range. For this reason it is not only suitable for the protection of polymers. Applied in packaging materials, e.g. films, it also ensures a high level of protection for the good underneath the packing, e.g. textiles.
