Emulsogen APS 100

Anionic emulsifier for emulsion polymerization

Edition Date :
July 03, 2022
Emulsogen APS 100 is used as emulsifier and comonomer in emulsion polymerization, particularly in the manufacture of acrylate, styrene/acrylate and vinyl acetate emulsions.

Benefits

The use of Emulsogen APS 100 offers the following advantages:

Product properties:

  • free of alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO)
  • hazard label free

Performance in emulsion polymerization:

  • ability of copolymerisation to reduce migration
  • improved freeze-thaw, electrolyte and shear stability of the polymer emulsion
  • improved stability of the monomer emulsion
  • low coagulum formation during polymerization
  • control of particle size of the polymer dispersion
  • improved viscosity of the polymer dispersions
