Ethylene Purification Catalysts for Removal of Acetylene and Hydrogen
PolyMax™ 200 Series
Edition Date :
December 05, 2024
PolyMax™ 200 ethylene purification catalysts are used to remove traces of acetylene (C2H2) and hydrogen (H2). In this final polishing of the polymer feedstock, the catalyst converts C2H2 and H2 to more ethylene via hydrogenation. Typically located upstream of polymerization catalysts, the ethylene purification catalysts achieve excellent product purity, with acetylene and hydrogen content below detectable limits. This greatly reduces the consumption of polymerization catalysts in downstream units.
