Mordenite Zeolites (MOR)
Advanced Zeolite Material of Mordenite Structure Type
Edition Date :
August 12, 2019
Mordenite (MOR) zeolites are widely used in emission control for industrial off-gas purification and VOC reduction. As process catalysts, these zeolites suit a variety of applications, such as fuel upgrading, production of petrochemical intermediates, processing of chemicals, and isomerization of alkanes and aromatics.
Clariant's standard powders with Mordenite (MOR) structures are: NaCZM 16, CZM 20 and CZM 40.
Benefits
- Some of the first zeolites commercialized for use as solid-acid catalysts for isomerization reactions
- 1-dimensional pore arrangement and an opening of 7 Å
- Shape-selectivity allows for discrimination of molecules by size and structure
- Tailored acidity for high versatility
- A variety of electronic interactions between guest molecules and zeolites widens the spectrum of applications
