Oxidation Catalyst for Production of Acrylonitrile (AN) via Ammoxidation of Propylene
AcryloMax®
Edition Date :
September 03, 2024
AcryloMax® allows more profitable and efficient production of acrylonitrile (AN), which is an important intermediate in the value chain of plastics and synthetic fibers for the automotive and textile industries. AN is produced from propylene, ammonia and air in contact with a catalyst.
The AcryloMax catalyst enables synthesis of acrylonitrile via ammoxidation of propylene in a fluidized bed reactor. Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) is also generated as a valuable side product.
