EquiScalp™
EquiScalp™ is an extract obtained by the plant stem cells technology applied to the Fuji apple (“Malus domestica”). This sustainable process allows the production of large quantities of product with only a small quantity of biological material at the beginning of the process.
EquiScalp™ is rich in phloridzin, a molecule with anti-inflammatory and anti-lipogenesis activities. By targeting the scalp irritation process, it regulates two important inflammatory mediators, IL-1Ra and S100A8/9. The consequences are reductions in scalp desquamation, redness and sebum production. In parallel, while modifying the surface composition of the scalp in sebum and squames, the source of food of the scalp’s microbiota, EquiScalp does not modify the population and diversity of alive scalp bacteria.
For its capacities to efficiently soothe the scalp and respond to customers' needs, EquiScalp™ was awarded the Fountain Award in the category scalp care at the PCHi congress 2021.
