FLOTREAT DR 12140 is an effective drag reducer for crude oil systems, being a dispersion of an ultra-high molecular weight polymer suspended in a non-aqueous solvent. In pipelines and other systems which are experiencing a restricted flow rate due to pressure limitations, FLOTREAT DR 12140 can increase flow rate at the same pressure or maintain the same flow rate at a reduced pressure as a result of decreasing drag in turbulent systems. Dependent on the system parameters, drag reduction of up to 40-50% is achievable through the application of FLOTREAT DR 12140.
