The Executive Steering Committee (ESC) is authorized by the Board of Directors to steer the company. It has overall strategic and financial responsibility, including for Clariant's profit and loss statement. The ESC consists of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and the three Business Presidents.

The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) consists of the Executive Steering Committee (ESC) along with the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Chief Strategy & Technology Officer, and the General Counsel. The ELT supports the ESC by promoting dialogue among its members, exchange of information and enabling awareness of the Group’s environment.

1. A President Designate for Business Unit Care Chemicals and the region Americas joined the Executive Steering Committee on 1 January 2026. There will be a transition phase in 2026 due to the retirement of the current Business President.
2. As of February 2025, the functions of Chief Technology & Sustainability Officer and Chief Corporate Development Officer have been merged into the function Chief Strategy & Technology Officer.
3. In addition to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the following roles report directly to the CEO: Head of Communications, Head of M&A, and Head of Procurement.
