Hostagliss PA 165 is a polar polymer with multiple functional groups, exhibiting a high affinity to metal surfaces. Despite its fully saturated structure (contains no unsaturated C=C bonds) it remains liquid and pourable down to temperatures of less than -20°C. PREVOL Z-70 is a liquid foam control agent with very low silicone content for adhesives, coatings and inks based on synthetic latex emulsions.PREVOL Z-70 is very effective during the mixing, dispersing and milling processes. Due to its components, it is easily dispersed and acts immediately to release entrapped air in foam bubbles and to prevent undesired foam built-up. It maintains its efficiency during long periods of agitation.The recommended dosage is 2.4-3.2 kg of PREVOL Z-70 for 1000 liters of paint. This amount is sufficient to control the foam efficiently.In adhesives we recommend dosages between 1-2 % of Antimussol Z-70 based on the total latex solids.This defoamer can be used as it is or as a water dispersion.

Exolit OP 935 Terra is chemicially and from its composition equivalent to Exolit OP 935, but comes with a mass balance certificate as for its production, renewable based Ethylene was sourced. Therefore we assume that for Exolit OP Terra products no additional performance testing and qualification compared to the standard grade are necessary. Exolit OP 935 Terra is a white, fine-grained powder based on an organic phosphinate. The product is not hygroscopic and it is insoluble in water and common organic solvents like acetone, dichloromethane, MEK, toluene. In toluene disproportionation, two moles of toluene are converted into one mole of benzene and one mole of xylenes. Paraxylene (PX) obtained via this equilibrium-limited reaction can provide a significant feedstock advantage for producers. TransMax™ 300 transalkylation catalysts have demonstrated excellent performance and operating flexibility for toluene disproportionation over many years. The latest generation is based on an advanced zeolite formulation which allows for higher xylene and benzene yields at even better product selectivities. It also enables the transalkylation catalyst to tolerate considerable amounts of heavy aromatics as co-feed to toluene. The metal function prevents coking, and enables operation at very low hydrogen-to-oil ratios if necessary. This makes the TransMax 300 series ideal for inexpensive debottlenecking of existing toluene disproportionation (TDP) facilities, with the added flexibility of heavier feed compositions. For feeds with significant amounts of C9+ aromatics, we also offer the TransMax™ 500 catalyst series.

Toluene methylation is an effective and economical solution for maximizing paraxylene (PX) yields by adding a methyl group to the aromatics ring from low-cost methanol. Clariant’s TransMax™ 100 catalyst series allows cost-effective production of PX, without forming benzene as a by-product. By adding methyl groups to the aromatic ring, toluene methylation eliminates the methyl group shortage to yield more xylene over benzene. TransMax 100 catalysts also minimize side reactions typically occurring in toluene methylation, in particular the formation of light hydrocarbons, which is the primary cause for coking. Heavier aromatics are also formed after separation, and are a valuable feedstock for conversion to more xylenes in the transalkylation unit, as the C9+ fraction contains a major portion of trimethylbenzene (TMB).

The iron ore concentration process requires the step of desliming in order to remove ultrafine particles that damage the conventional flotation performance. However, at this fraction there are still high contents of valuable iron minerals that, in most of the processes, are sent to the tailings dam as waste material.FLOTINOR™ 5530 is a collector developed for iron ore slimes flotation. Through collaboration with the customer, Clariant developed alternatives with high molybdenum flotation performance and a safer hazard profile for mines, increasing the safety of the workers. HOSTAFLOT™ 17331 copper and molybdenum collector allows the operators to discontinue the use of diesel and traditional hazardous oil-based collectors and it may provide better molybdenum and copper recovery. In addition, HOSTAFLOT™ 17331 also reduces the amount of oil added to the flotation circuit.
